In Tutela’s latest Mobile Experience Report for Uruguay, Antel was found to have the highest Excellent Consistent Quality in the country with 80.0%. Antel also had the fastest download with a median transfer of 16.6 Mbps, and the best latency on a 4G network with 28.4 ms.
Antel leads Excellent Consistent Quality
In Common Coverage Areas of Uruguay, Antel had the highest Excellent Consistent Quality with 80.0%. The operator also had the highest Core Consistent Quality in the country with 96.8%. In second, Claro had an Excellent Consistent Quality percentage of 71.8% and a Core Consistent Quality percentage of 94.0%, 1.9% less in performance than Movistar. Movistar had an Excellent Consistent Quality percentage of 71.1% and the second highest Core at 95.9%.

Antel also perform best for speeds
Antel had the fastest median download speed in Uruguay, with a result of 16.6 Mbps. Antel also performed well on the upload speed test with 7.7 Mbps. Despite coming last in the Consistent Quality test, Movistar performed well in the download and upload test with 13.2 Mbps and 7.1 Mbps, respectively. Claro had the slowest download and upload speeds in Uruguay with 9.3 Mbps on download and 5.5 on upload.
Antel tops latency on both 4G and 3G network
For latency, Antel again came out on top in both 4G and 3G with a result of 28.4 ms and 38.2 ms, respectively. However, the gap in performance between Antel and Movistar is small: On the 4G network, Movistar had a latency result of 29.1 ms, only 0.7 ms difference. And on the 3G network, the difference is 1.2 ms between the two operators. For Claro, the difference is more apparent with a latency result of 36.4 ms on 4G and 44.9 ms on the 3G network.
