In the latest Mobile Experience Snapshot for Portugal, Vodafone had both the highest Excellent Consistent Quality and Core Consistent Quality in the country, and fastest upload speeds. NOS had the most responsive network.
Vodafone leads Consistent Quality
In Common Coverage Areas across Portugal, Vodafone had the highest Excellent Consistent Quality with 83.1% of connections having a network experience suitable for use-cases like 1080p video streaming, real-time mobile gaming and HD video calling. MEO was in second place by only 3.1% and NOS was in third place with an Excellent Consistent Quality of 75.1%.
For Core Consistent Quality, Tutela’s metric for when a connection is good enough for web browsing, social media sharing and SD video streaming, all three operators comfortably reached the 90% threshold, with Vodafone out in front with a Core Consistent Quality of 94.4%.

Vodafone had fastest download and upload speed
In the speed test, Vodafone had the fastest median download speed at 26.0 Mbps, with MEO close behind by only 1.3 Mbps. NOS had a median download speed at 15.6 Mbps, 10.4 Mbps slower than Vodafone.
Vodafone had the fastest median upload speed at 11.5 Mbps, while NOS came second and MEO third at 10.4 and 9.6 Mbps respectively.
NOS leads for latency
NOS had the most responsive network in Common Coverage Areas across Portugal with a latency result of 23.9 ms. Vodafone was in second place with 25.7 ms, while MEO had the least responsive network at 30.8 ms.
