In the latest Mobile Experience Snapshot for Peru, Entel won in all five metrics tested including the highest Excellent Consistent Quality and both the fastest median download and upload speed.
Entel had the highest Excellent Consistent Quality
In Common Coverage Areas across Peru, Entel had the highest Excellent Consistent Quality with 59.3% of subscribers having a network experience suitable for use-cases like 1080p video streaming, real-time mobile gaming or HD video calling. With a difference in performance of 5.9%, Movistar was in second place with 53.4%, followed by Claro at 42.7% and Bitel at 18.3%, 41% behind first place Entel.
In regards to Core Consistent Quality, meaning subscribers having a network experience suitable for use-cases like SD video streaming, social media sharing and web browsing, no operator reached the 90% threshold, however Movistar had the highest Core Consistent Quality at 79.8%, followed by Entel behind by 2.8%, Claro behind by 6.4%, and Bitel behind by 25.3%.
Entel had the fastest download and upload speed
In the speed test, Entel had the fastest median download speed at 14.4 Mbps. Both Movistar and Claro were only behind by 2.6 Mbps and 2.8 Mbps, whereas Bitel had the slowest median download speed in Peru with 6.5 Mbps, 7.9 Mbps slower than first place Entel.
In regards to upload, Entel also had the fastest median transfer speed at 7.6 Mbps, with both Movistar and Claro again close behind by only 1 Mbps and 1.7 Mbps, whereas Bitel was behind by 4.1 Mbps.
Entel had best latency result on a 4G network
In the latency test, Entel had the most responsive network in Common Coverage Areas across Peru with 51.5 ms. Both Claro and Movistar were able to keep up with Entel, however Bitel had the least responsive network with a difference in performance of 25.1 ms behind Entel.
