In the latest Mobile Experience Report for Nicaragua, Movistar had the highest Excellent Consistent Quality in the country at 57.6%. The operator outshone in every other metric tested, including the highest Core Consistent Quality, the fastest median download and upload speed, and the best one-way latency result on a 4G network.

Movistar leads Excellent Consistent Quality

In Common Coverage Areas of Nicaragua, Movistar had the highest Excellent Consistent Quality in the country with 57.6% of tests good enough for applications like HD video calling, movie streaming, or mobile gaming. With a 12.7% difference in performance between Claro and Movistar, Claro had an Excellent Consistent Quality percentage of 44.9%. In regards to Core Consistent Quality, Movistar narrowly missed out on the 90% threshold for a Core Consistent Quality percentage of 89.0%. The difference in performance between the two operators was smaller with Claro behind by 6.4% for a Core Consistent Quality of 82.6%.

Movistar takes out top spot for download and upload speed

In regards to speeds, Movistar had the fastest median download speed in Nicaragua with 7.8 Mbps and Claro was behind by 2.4 Mbps for a median download speed of 5.4 Mbps. Movistar also had the fastest median upload speed in the country with 3.5 Mbps and Claro was close behind with 2.7 Mbps. 

Movistar had best latency on 4G network

Movistar also had the best one-way latency result on a 4G network with 47.4 ms. However, Claro did put up a good fight with only 2.7 ms difference in performance.
