In Common Coverage Areas across New Zealand, Spark had the highest Excellent Consistent Quality at 84.1%, followed by 2degrees at 81.7%, and Vodafone at 78.6%.

Auckland

In Common Coverage Areas across Auckland, Spark had the highest Excellent Consistent Quality at 85.4%. With a difference in performance of only 2.1%, 2degrees was in second place with 83.3%, and Vodafone was 4.8% behind first place Spark with an Excellent Consistent Quality of 80.6%.

In the speed test, Vodafone had the fastest median download speed in Common Coverage Areas across Auckland with 28.0 Mbps. Spark was in second place with 23.4 Mbps, and 2degrees was in third place with 20.8 Mbps, 7.2 Mbps slower than first place Vodafone. 

For upload, Vodafone was in first place with a median transfer speed of 12.2 Mbps, however the difference in performance was much smaller with last place 2degrees only 1.9 Mbps slower Vodafone.

Wellington

In Common Coverage Areas across Wellington, Spark had the highest Excellent Consistent Quality at 87.6%. With a difference in performance of 6.2%, 2degrees was in second place for an Excellent Consistent Quality of 81.4%, and Vodafone was in third place with 76.8%, 10.8% behind first place Spark.

In the speed test, Vodafone and Spark statistically tied for first place in median download throughput, both with speeds greater than 23 Mbps, while 2degrees was in third place with 21.7 Mbps.

Canterbury

In Common Coverage Areas across Canterbury, Spark had the highest Excellent Consistent Quality with 85.3%. 2degrees and Vodafone tied for second place.

In the speed test, Vodafone had the fastest median download speed at 27.7 Mbps, followed by 2degrees and Spark in a statistical tie for second. For upload, all three operators were highly comparable, with the error bars for all three overlapping to create a 3-way tie above 9 Mbps.
