4G speeds between Mexico’s operators very close in October
During October Mexico’s top 3 mobile operators: AT&T, Telcel and Movistar delivered similar results in our 4G download speed testing, with AT&T network taking the lead. When considering just 4G networks, AT&T came out on top, although the speeds were closer between the operators.
AT&T registered average download speed of 9.7 Mbps, followed by Movistar at 9.0 Mbps and Telcel at 8.8 Mbps download. AT&T performed the best overall in our testing, achieving a good performance across speed, latency, jitter and packet-loss.
4G Speed Test Results
The results are based on an analysis of 21,788,781 records gathered during October.

About our testing
Tutela tests mobile networks by crowdsourcing anonymous sensor data from hundreds of millions of Android and iOS mobile users across the world. This enables us to collect billions of measurements every day and gain a real-world understanding of the mobile experience that mobile users are getting - not just in major towns & cities, but in all parts of the world.
Our testing methodology is designed to simulate typical user mobile behaviour, such as downloading a photograph or web page, rather than measuring the maximum performance, such as the peak download speed during a very large file transfer (which very few users will achieve) so that we can understand a typical user's experience.
