In the latest Mobile Experience Snapshot for Germany, Telekom dominated in all five of the metrics tested including the highest Excellent Consistent Quality, fastest download speeds, and most responsive network.
Telekom had highest Excellent Consistent Quality
In Common Coverage Areas across Germany, Telekom had the highest Excellent Consistent Quality with 84.4% of connections having a network experience suitable for use-cases like 1080p video streaming, real-time mobile gaming and HD video calling. Vodafone was close behind by only 4.9% and O2 was in third place with an Excellent Consistent Quality of 76.5%.
For Core Consistent Quality, Tutela’s metric for when a connection is good enough for web browsing, social media sharing and SD video streaming, Telekom was the only operator in Common Coverage Areas across Germany to reach the 90% threshold. However, both Vodafone and O2 were in hot pursuit with Core Consistent Quality percentages of 89.2% and 87.7%, respectively.

Telekom had fastest download and upload speeds
Telekom dominated in the download speed test with a median transfer speed of 31.4 Mbps, 7.6 Mbps faster than second place Vodafone and 8.7 Mbps faster than O2.
The difference in performance was smaller in the upload speed test, with Telekom in first place with a median transfer speed of 13.7 Mbps, followed by O2 at 12.2 Mbps, and Vodafone in third place with 11.5 Mbps.
Telekom latency performed best
Telekom had the most responsive network in Common Coverage Areas across Germany with a median one-way latency result of 13.7 ms. However, only 0.3 ms separated second place O2 from Telekom, while Vodafone was only 2 ms behind Telekom.
