In the latest Mobile Experience Snapshot for France, Orange had the highest Excellent Consistent Quality at 85.3%, as well as the fastest median download and upload speed. Free Mobile had the best one-way latency result.
Orange had the highest Excellent Consistent Quality
In Common Coverage Areas across France, Orange had the highest Excellent Consistent Quality, meaning 85.3% of subscribers had a network experience suitable for use-cases like 1080p video streaming, real-time mobile gaming or HD video calling. Bouygues was in second place by 4.8%, followed by SFR in third place by 8.2% and Free Mobile in fourth place with a difference in performance of 14%.

Orange had fastest median download and upload speed
In the speed test, Orange had the fastest median download speed in Common Coverage Areas across France with 32.6 Mbps. Bouygues was in second place with a median download speed of 25.0 Mbps, followed by SFR at 24.2 Mbps, and Free Mobile at 17.6 Mbps, 15 Mbps slower than first place Orange.
Orange was also in first place with the fastest median upload speed at 12.6 Mbps, however the difference in performance was small with last place Free Mobile only 3.6 Mbps slower than Orange.
Free Mobile had best latency result
In the latency test, there was a change in the rankings with Free Mobile subscribers experiencing a slightly more responsive network than other subscribers in France with a median one-way latency result of 12.3 ms. However, the difference in performance was small with the likes of SFR in last place by only 2 ms.
