With average speeds of 7.97Mbps, Movistar lead download speeds across both 4G and 3G from our results based on data collected between May and July of this year. Personal are just behind in second place reaching average download speeds of 7.70Mbps and Claro place third with just 6.06Mbps.
In Buenos Aires, Movistar reach average download speeds of 10.14Mbps on 4G, however Personal place first in Córdoba and Santa Fe, with average 4G download speeds of 9.49Mbps and 9.41Mbps respectively, ahead of second place Movistar who score 8.87Mbps and 7.94Mbps in the region.
Personal top upload speeds
Personal also jump ahead to first place for upload speed on 4G, with average speeds of 5.68Mbps and marginally take first place for 3G upload speed, just 0.01Mbps ahead of Claro. Telecom, owner of the Personal brand, have recently announced they will be investing a further $300 million in the northern region of Jujuy during 2018 to increase the capacity of both fixed and mobile networks.
Movistar lead overall latency
Almost 10.0ms ahead of second place Personal, Movistar lead latency tests with results of 34.4ms on 4G. It’s a close race for second place with Personal scoring 43.4ms and Claro just being pushed back to third place with 44.1ms on 4G. However all operators have made latency improvements compared with our research findings between March and May.
